No matter where you’re thinking of hosting your wedding, here are 5 questions to ask when booking a wedding venue to help you feel totally prepared in your wedding planning process.
“What did you wish you had asked BEFORE your wedding?”
This was the big question I asked our newly-married couples from the Braham Event Center, and below are the questions that came up.
I know that planning your wedding is a brand-new experience for most people, so there are always things you realize AFTER your wedding that it would have been good to know earlier...so today, I’m sharing them with you now, so that you will feel much more prepared as you plan your own wedding!
No matter where you’re thinking of hosting your wedding, here are 5 questions to ask when booking a wedding venue - and be sure to click through on each of these, because we’ve got some awesome info to help you feel totally prepared in your wedding planning process on each of these questions!
- Booking Process: What does the booking process look like at your venue, and when do you need payments and other information from me?
- Add-ons: Are there any other costs or add-ons that we should know about?
- Wedding Venue Decor: What kind of decor is included with your venue? Or, do you have any fun suggestions on what would work best in this space?
- Wedding Day Timeline: Do you have a sample timeline for the day’s events that I can work with?
- Preferred Vendor List: Who do you recommend for some of our other vendors (DJ, flowers, photographers, hair and makeup, etc.)? Do you have a list you can share with me?
This is just a starting point of questions you might have when choosing a wedding venue...but remember: There are NO bad (or dumb) questions to ask when you’re planning the biggest day of your life! Your wedding venue should be happy to answer any and all questions you might have, and - in the best case scenario - even anticipate what you might need to know ahead of time.
